Thermal Performance
The Kingspan TEK® Building System provides excellent thermal performance and vastly reduces thermal defects. This means low running costs and impressive quality for the lifetime of the building. The 110 mm rigid urethane insulation core in combination with its OSB/3 shell make for unrivalled insulation performance.
Complete walls can easily provide U-values of 0.22 W/m2.K or better.
Complete roofs can easily provide U-values of 0.18 W/m2.K or better.
Regarding Building Regulations and Technical Standards in England, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland the Kingspan TEK Building System can easily achieve the required U-values for compliance using the new whole house methodology. Kingspan TEK is clearly bringing 2010+ building standards home today.
The Kingspan TEK Building System can easily achieve the current Building Regulation / Technical Standard air tightness default requirement of 10 m3/h/m2 at 50 Pa and easily achieves much lower levels. Values as low as 1 m3/h/m2 at 50 Pa have been achieved (the lower the figure the better the performance).
