Kingspan Metro Building System
The Kingspan Metro Building System is a ‘2D’ panellised steel building factory-insulated ‘structure and shell’ construction method consisting of customised assemblies for external and internal walls, floors (other than ground floors) and ceilings from steel cassettes and composite concrete deck. The System is proven, affordable, superior quality and sustainable.

The system is fully compliant with the appropriate Building regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice.
The System Includes:
- Factory-insulated primary structural frame;
- External façades solutions;
- Solutions for separate and intermediate floors/ceilings in concrete composite deck or steel joist cassettes;
- Solutions for loadbearing and non-loadbearing separating and internal walls;
- A range of roof types including timber truss, SIPs and steel purlin;
- Foundation and podium options (by specialist contractor);
- Components and details for integration of staircases, lift shafts, balconies and solar shading;
- Tested and certified details for windows, doors, louvres, etc;
- Building services integration and routing for power, space and water heating, plumbing and waste;
- Building integrated zero carbon renewables and ventilation; and
- External façades and roof envelope solutions.
The System is Suitable for the Following:
- Building heights - up to 10 storeys;
- Cross or cellular wall construction;
- Floor spans up to 6500 mm; and
- Slab-to-slab height dimensions - maximum 3200 mm.
