Time & Tide Homes Choose Kingspan Off-Site for Riverside Development
11 Aug 2007
An exclusive riverside development on the outskirts of Lancaster has incorporated precision-engineered timber frame systems from Kingspan Off-Site. Time & Tide Homes chose the Kingspan Off-Site systems because of the excellent sustainable credentials and the reduced build time offered by the offsite manufacturing methods.
The Kingspan Off-Site systems were used in the construction of 47 two and three storey townhouses and 27 apartments, part of the Time & Tide Homes development in Halton, Lancashire. In addition to the timber frame structures, the external walls were stone clad and the roofs tiled with natural slate, reinforcing the use of sustainable materials where possible.
Commercial director at Time & Tide Homes, Kevin Hodgson, said: “We needed a system that would help us to meet our build targets in terms of time, without sacrificing any degree of quality. Halton Mills is a major development and we needed a company we could rely on to provide precision built structures to guarantee onsite accuracy. Plus, the positive environmental aspects of the Kingspan Off-Site systems contribute to the sustainable credentials of the development.”
